| Is there enough to do during days at sea? |
| Yes plenty! You’ll be amazed by just how much there is to do. From deck sports, friendly quizzes and dance classes to fascinating talks and terrific movies, there’s so much to choose from. Your ship’s Daily Programme (delivered daily to your stateroom) has full details of all the activities, events and entertainments happening each day. Just watching your chefs carve their fabulous ice sculptures on deck is an inspirational way to pass the time! |
| Do I have to dress for dinner every evening? |
| One of the joys of sailing with Cunard is the glamour
of evenings at sea. In keeping with the high standards of elegance aboard, it is
suggested that you dress for dinner as you would for a fine restaurant. There
will be formal nights announced, and dress suggestions will be listed each day
in the ship's Daily Programme. Evening attire will be specified as one of the
following: Formal: Black tie or formal dark suit for gentlemen. Evening dress or other formal attire for ladies. Semiformal: Jacket and tie for gentlemen. Cocktail dress or trouser suit for ladies. No jeans. Elegant casual: Jacket, no tie required for gentlemen. Dress, skirt or trousers for ladies. No shorts or jeans. |
| Will I be able to attend religious services? |
| A priest will be onboard to conduct Catholic and nondenominational services on all voyages. A minister and rabbi/cantor will be onboard to conduct services coinciding with major religious holidays. |
| What facilities for children are there onboard? |
| Queen Mary 2 welcomes families with a beautiful Nursery
and children’s center full of toys, games, and activities. This area, located on
Deck 6, is supervised daily by fully trained nannies and youth staff. Older
children and teens will enjoy activities offered by the Youth Staff such as
sports, discos, video games, scavenger hunts, and arts and crafts. Please note
that children must be a minimum of one-year-old to participate in the Nursery
without parental supervision. Children under one-year-old are welcome, provided
they are accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times. QM2 also offers a family
pool area so families can enjoy the outdoors together. Private babysitting is
not available. However, complimentary group child-sitting in the children’s
center is available in the evenings. An adult must accompany children under 18
years of age traveling with Cunard. If that adult is not the legal parent or
guardian, written permission from the parent is required. |
